    When you want a clean snack to satisfy your savoury cravings, you'll love our biltong. Just like slow cooking is better than zapping in a microwave, we slow air dry our beef which means it's naturally more tender and healthier than jerky. Free from all the nasty stuff you usually find in dried and cured meats, very low in sugar and taste the difference with organic, grass-fed and grass-finished Aussie beef. Being organic and grass-fed means our beef is free from things you might be trying to avoid like added hormones, pesticides and herbicides like glyphosate, mRNA and Bovaer feed.

    Perfect pre or post exercise or simply as a clean, high protein, low carb treat that'll get you through to meal time without filling you up too much. They're also perfect to keep in the pantry to use with your weekly meal prep. Use them to add a high quality protein source to salads, pizza and more.

      Thinly sliced, firm and chewy air-dried beef with a clean, savoury taste. It is filling and high in protein. Shelf stable, and once opened you eat it within a few days.

      Not suitable for vegetarians or vegans, since it is real air-dried beef. The texture is firm and chewy by nature. This flavour contains garlic and onion, so it is not low FODMAP. Being salt-cured, it is high in sodium.

      Organic grass-fed beef (92%), vinegar, coconut aminos, salt (Himalayan), sugar, rice flour, garlic, capsicum, spices, onion, acidity regulator (sodium acetate) and marjoram. The spices include paprika, cinnamon, clove, pepper and chilli.

      FAQs

      What is biltong?

      It is air-dried beef. The meat is brined in salt and vinegar, then slowly air-dried rather than cooked, which keeps more of the heat-sensitive nutrients and gives a clean, savoury taste.

      Is it FODMAP friendly?

      No. This flavour's seasoning contains garlic and onion. For a FODMAP friendly biltong, choose Carnivore, Traditional or Cayenne Chilli, which have neither.

      Is there much sugar or any soy in it?

      No soy, since Chief uses coconut aminos. Sugar is low, from next to none in the plainer flavours to about 1g per serve in the seasoned ones.

      Does it need refrigeration?

      No. It is shelf stable. Once opened, keep it cool and eat it within a few days.
